Republic Day is our National festival celebrated with much fervour to ignite the minds with true feeling of patriotism.
Annites celebrated India’s 73rd Republic day with great gaiety. The celebration began with unfurling of the National flag by our Chief Guest, none other than our Supervisor, Mrs. Celine, followed by National Anthem and Flag Song.
The Program proceeded with a meaningful prayer service for our country and its citizens. The celebration was made lively and enthusiastic with patriotic speeches and dance which kindled patriotic fervor in all those present. Mrs. Merly introduced the honored Chief Guest, Mrs. Celine, highlighting her qualities followed by the felicitation with a bouquet of flowers.
Mrs. Celine conveyed a beautiful message on the value of Religious Tolerance, being sensitive to the needs of our fellow being and motivated the students to step forward and lead a disciplined life. Our Principal Rev. Sr. Irene D’souza addressed the students of Std. X by reinforcing the meaning of Republic Day, highlighting the values given in the preamble and emphasized the need to be accountable as they are the future of our nations.
Sister also expressed her appreciation to the teachers and students for putting up a beautiful program. The celebration ended with the singing of the Vande Mataram. Everyone dispersed, with a reverence to our country and to do our part in whatever little way we can.
