On 24th July, 2024 St. Anne’s Girls High School was filled with joy and reverence as the school celebrated its inaugural centenary feast day for the students. The day began with a meaningful prayer service conducted by the teachers followed by the celebration for the students in their respective classes.
On 25 July, St. Anne’s Girls High School, Dabul proudly celebrated the opening of its centenary year with great enthusiasm and pride. The inaugural event commenced with a Solemn Holy Mass led by Bishop Dominic Savio Fernandes, along with concelebrants Rev. Fr. Leonard Noronha and Rev. Fr. Joshan Rodrigues. The theme for the mass, “We Kneel at thy Altar in Faith, We Draw Near,” perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the occasion, emphasizing our deep faith and commitment. After the mass, the celebration continued in the school hall.
The inaugural event began with a warm welcome for our distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Bishop Dominic Savio Fernandes, and the Guest of honour Sr. Dr. Romana Fernandes were greeted with the melodious tunes of the school band.
The event was solemnized by the presence of Ex-Principals, Ex-Managers, Ex-Teachers, Alumni and PTA members, adding to the significance and joy of the celebration.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and new beginnings. This was followed by a graceful prayer dance.
Next, the guests were felicitated and shared their inspiring words and experiences with everyone present. This was followed by a series of vibrant dance performances, adding joy and color to the event.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a PowerPoint presentation that showcased the rich history and achievements of St. Anne’s Girls High School over the past century. This presentation was a moving reminder of the rich legacy and the milestones reached.
The Supervisor, Mrs. Merly Anthony delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration. The day ended with the school anthem, uniting everyone in a spirit of pride and accomplishment.
The celebration concluded with a fellowship meal, providing an opportunity for everyone to bond and celebrate together.
As we look forward to the culmination of our centenary year next year, we do so with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation. With God’s blessings, we hope to continue our journey with the same spirit of faith, unity, and excellence that has brought us this far.
